How local processing works
AI models are installed locally at setup
When you first install Siplinx AI, the app downloads the LLM (language model) and STT (speech-to-text) models directly to your device storage. After that, no remote AI service is ever called.
Audio is captured and processed on-device
During a meeting, Siplinx AI captures your system audio locally using the OS audio API. The raw audio stream is immediately fed into the local STT model — it never touches a network socket.
Transcription runs in real time on your CPU/GPU
The Whisper-based local model converts speech to text on your hardware. On Apple Silicon, this uses the Neural Engine. On Windows, the model runs on your CPU or GPU with hardware acceleration.
Summaries and action items are generated locally
When the meeting ends, the on-device LLM reads your transcript and generates the summary, key decisions, and action items. The model runs entirely in your RAM — no API call, no latency waiting for a cloud response.
Notes are saved to your local disk only
All transcripts, summaries, and action items are stored in an encrypted local database on your machine. You control where notes are saved, exported, or deleted.
What we never collect
The only data we store on our servers is your account email and subscription status — nothing from inside your meetings.
